MINISTRIES
Here are some of our established ministries & teams - this is not an exhaustive list, but rather some of the biggest areas for serving in our church. We have a whole host of other opportunities - check out our SERVE form to contact us and see all of our options!
Kids at the Gates
Serve on Sunday mornings discipling the next generation!
-Kid’s Check-in: Welcome kids and families, and greet newcomers at the check-in desk, getting them comfortable and directed to the right classrooms.
-Classroom Helper (0-5th Grade): Play, corral, and love kids through each of the activities during class, and support the classroom teacher in discipleship.
-Classroom Teacher (3yrs-5th Grade): Guide the group through activities and lessons, and bring the word of God to life with your attention and enjoyment towards our kids!
GREETER TEAM
Serve on Sunday mornings welcoming people into the the house of God! Be ready to share a handshake, a smile, and a warm greeting with new and familiar faces, and be the first person to introduce a newcomer to our church! This is a great place to serve especially if you’re newer to CATG yourself and want to make some new friends!
4:12 STUDENT MINISTRY
Are you passionate about youth discipleship? This is the spot for you! 4:12 Student Ministry, reaching students 6th-12th grade, meets on Wednesday nights for games, connection, mentorship, and snacks!
PROMISE CLUB
Promise Club is a Christian partnership that serves adults with disabilities and their families! If you want to connect with and enjoy this community through activities and projects on the 3rd Saturday of every month, we’d love to have you!
Worship Team
Musically inclined? Serve our church by helping lead us into a time of worship and using your vocal or instrumental gifts on Sunday mornings! This will challenge and grow both your musical skills and your faith as you serve the Lord in how He made you!
COFFEE TEAM
Love serving behind the scenes? Coffee Team is for you! Show up before services to throw a few pots of coffee on the brewer, and make sure cups and supplies are ready to go on Sunday morning!
SOUND & TECH TEAM
Enjoy computer work? We’d love your help running sound and slides on Sunday mornings during services! This doesn’t require any more expertise than a basic affinity for technology – we’ll train you on what you need to know!
SHEEPDOG TEAM
If you’re friendly, engaging, trustworthy, and a guardian by nature, we’d love to have you on our Sheepdog Safety Team! On Sunday mornings, be the first to keep an eye on our Church family, and be ready to jump in to any emergent issues.

At Church at the Gates, we are committed to helping you use your gifts in a way that honors the Lord. We have more than just these opportunities! If you're an artist, a builder, and electrician, we'll find a way for you to grow with those skills. If you're passionate about the elderly, the widows, the orphans, let us know! If you want to help with occasional events, prepare food, host a small group, or lead a class, we will fan that into flame. Please contact us via the SERVE form to get the conversation started!
