Raised just outside Chicago as a pastor’s kid, my faith became deeply personal in junior high after a youth conference stirred something lasting in my heart. That spark eventually led me to Moody Bible Institute and Dallas Theological Seminary, but what really shaped me were the people and places God used along the way—including two formative years in China, where I met my wife, Vanessa.
Together, we’re raising four amazing kids—Eli, Penelope, Zoe, and Nicholas. I believe Jesus still meets people in the middle of real life—and that’s where the best kind of change begins.
